should I rent a cell phone for Aruba..?
I really want to be able to keep in contact with my friends in aruba on a cell but unfortunately there is no coverage for verizon wireless. should I rent a cell at an airport..how much are they..are they reliable???

Hi! I have a timeshare in Aruba so I visit often. It is definitely worth renting a cell phone at the airport. There are little stands that you just walk up to after you get your luggage at the airport. You fill out a form, pay by credit card (which is great because you can always dispute a charge if needed) and walk away with a cell phone that you return upon departure. I’ve had no problem with reliability. We are so used to having them you’ll feel naked without it. The prices are reasonable because of the competition between the companies. Another great feature is that most phones already have many restaurants on the island already on the contact list!! Its a good idea to be able to keep in touch with your friends. Its a very safe island as I travel all over there in cabs by myself. The people are great. Have a wonderful time!!
