Why does my cell phone die out so soon although the battery meter says its full?
I have a Razor phone with Cingular coverage and it seems that lately my phone’s battery life is not what it used to be. I used to be able to talk for hours on end without having to worry about the battery being drained. I’ve even gone for several days (when I took a trip and forgot the charger) with using my phone and not having to worry about the battery draining. Recently, although my meter looks like it is full, my battery COMPLETELY drains in a matter of minutes (like 20 minutes). Does anyone know why my phone is doing this and what can be done to fix it?
Get a new battery. And when you do, let it charge completely the first time (however long the instructions tell you to charge it). And from that point on, do NOT unnecessarily charge your battery. Let it get as low as you can before you charge it each time. Just putting your phone on the charger (when it doesn’t need it) lessens the life of the battery.
