Cell phone contracts-downgrading will lead to extended contract?

Well, I wanted to know that if we have a contract with T-mobile (since I have that right now) and I have a contract with them for one year. If at any time during that one year I have a contract with them, and I decide to downgrade….does that mean your contract is automatically extended? To make this clear, I’ll give you an example.

Let’s say I have a contract with t-mobile from January 2007 to December 2007 and I am paying $80 a month. So, my contract ends on december. Then, if let’s say in April 2007 or something I decided to downgrade the plan to $70, does that mean that my contract no longer ends in december 2007 but rather in april 2008? Does that mean that every single downgrade extends your contract? Does your provider to that as well?

Yes, it usually does. It did for Sprint.

Here’s a place without contracts or credit checks and isn’t pre- paid either.
