How far before I have him hunted down?
I just found out my 14 year old daughter is talking online with a 19 year old man…at least, he says he’s 19. This relationship started when she was 13. They say they’re in love, they’ve never met, but reading her chats I’ve found out that he’s planning a visit to my city meet her.
The chats have been deleted from the computer she uses, but I have logs of recent ones on my computer (thanks to a program I’m using to spy on her).
I have his email address which shows up nothing on google. I have what he claims his name to be (no facebook accounts, myspace, highschool alumni listings etc), I also have his cell phone number.
I warned her that if she continues to talk to him, the police will be involved.
She’s “in love” and “he’s different” blah blah blah…
So should I contact the police now? Or do I have to wait until he says something explicit?
Why does she still have computer privileges? I’d contact the police and see what they can do. Have you seen those “Dateline” shows where they catch the perverts?
Just the fact that he’s planning on a visit is scary – for what purpose? She’s a child! Nothing can come of this.
He’s an ADULT (AKA jail bait) and if this was my daughter I’d be scared to death for what might happen, especially if this pervert is coming for a visit. I’d be afraid of them running off together.
Sorry but a 14 year old child doesn’t know what love is. This guy is either stupid (if he doesn’t realize he talking with a child) or a pervert (if he knows he’s talking with a child). Either way, this guy is bad news.
