Cell Phone Rules?
Ok, I finally gave in and got the kids cell phones for Christmas. However, one is 10 the other is 13. I am putting together rules, like how many minutes thay can use, etc. What rules would you put out there to them so that I can see if I missed any important ones?
For the record, I would not have given the 10 year old one, but they have always received the same gifts since she came to live with us. Like when he got a gamecube, she got one. When she got a DS he got one. I am trying to break this up this year but he would freak if she got a cell and he didn’t.
So what rules do you think are important, they can be different rules for each child. I am just afraid I am going to miss something and end up with a million dollar bill or some other problem.

1. If Mom or Dad call answer immediately no matter who you are talking to
2. Use the regular phone if they are at home, save the minutes.
3. Do not allow the phone in their bedroom, it is not a private line for them.
4. The phone is NOT allowed to be turned on in school unless there is an emergency. Parents can call the school if they need to contact the child.
5. Use the computer for the Internet, not the cell phone.
I am sure there is many more, but this is a start.
