does anybody know where i can find a cheap cell phone that is prepaid (without a plan)?
I have recently used and liked Virgin Wireless. In the U.S., Wal-Mart sells their phones for less than $30, usually with a few dollars of airtime included. You can talk for 10 cents/minute (anytime, roaming and long-distance included), and there’s a 35 cent/day charge for account maintenance. There are no other charges. Virgin has other plans available as well, that might make more sense, depending on your usage. I haven’t found anything less expensive or with fewer strings attached.
p.s. I just looked at their website, and they have phones for sale for $24.99 that include $25 of airtime.
Other benefits are that you can handle all your account maintenance online.
