Anyone move from the US to the Philippines?? Need advice and info?
I am moving to the phils in around a year. I am 20 and currently live in chicago.
I want to move because its less materialistic compared to the US, and its living actual “life”.
Besides that, I am confused on where to find a house to rent, get internet, get a cell phone, etc, etc. I mean I have NO idea where to start.
I also want to stay out there for 2 years or so, but I know the visa card allows me to stay alot shorter span of time. Is there anyway to get around this?? Do I leave the phils randomly every 3 months or something and get a new visa when I reenter the phils a day or 2 later??
I am just worried about having everything set up and ready before I leave. I would like to have everything done and ready, then i get my plane ticket and head down there.
I also plan on going to diving school so I am wanting to go to maybe Cebu or Puerto gallera.

Less materialistic? I don’t know, man. It’s definitely not utopia. What do you mean by living actual “life”???

You also have to think about your income. If you can work in the Philippines yet still earn dollars from the US, then that’s an ideal situation. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be as peachy.
