Will Home Insurance cover the stuff that was stolen from my house?
Our house got broken into when we were at school and work. When I came home everything was thrown all over and we were missing alot of things. Like 2 Ipods, 2 digital cameras, dvd player, PSP, DS, 3 spare cell phones, jewelry and some designer clothes. We have home insurance im not sure what kind though.I think Liburtary Mutural or something like that. Will they cover everything that was stolen . We also totaled up everything and they stole about $2700.00 worth of stuff or maybe more. Will the insurance cover that plus the window they broke to get in?
If you have theft coverage, they will cover it. If you have building coverage, the window will be covered, also, but may be under the deductible.
Keep in mind, most policies have theft limitations built in for jewelry among other things, but if your total loss is under $3,000, it doesn’t sound like it’s expensive jewelry.
