I’m a manager of a kiosk/ r.m.u and I need help attracting customers!?
I work in a mall at a Kiosk or R.M.U which ever you’d like to call it. I don’t like being like the other ones that attack people when the customers walk past, however that seems to be the best way to get attention. I sell cell phone accessories i.e face plates, skins, chargers ect. The kiosk I work at is oval, almost egg shaped. so it’s a little harder decorating. I need to brighten the place up but I can’t paint it, attach x-mas lights, or anything that could be a hazard or damage the malls property obviously. My boss tells me to print out signs but we don’t have anywhere to display them. So I’m stuck and turned to yahoo answers for help! Thank you!
Well your on the right track by not wanting to harass your potential customers as they are walking by. I am sure that you have fell victim to this sort of behavior one time or another when you were shopping at the mall, and its not fun. That being said, I think the best way for you to attract people to your kiosk would be to offer them something that none of the other kiosks are offering, or something that they haven’t seen before. That is the main problem with mall kiosks, they all offer the same things. You need to be DIFFERENT in some way or another in order to attract people. A bunch of flashy lights wont cut it, people have seen lights before. Kindly tell your boss that a possible solution to your “no customer” problem would be to lower the prices of the products that you are selling. While this may result in a smaller profit per item sold, tell him/ her that the rise in customers will definitely make up for it.
Give your customers something new, either in price or product, but remember to not harass them or lure them in with lights, bells and whistles. Its all about respecting the customer’s time and attention. Best of luck.
