which mobile/cell phone company offers the best deals to call the US from England?
My boyfriend lives in America and I call him using a land-line phone with sky (free calls for the first 59 minutes) but I’m going to university soon and don’t really want to have a huge phone bill. He has suggested joining Verizon (he is currently with Verizon on a family plan) and it is free to talk to other Verizon users,but I have heard about difficulties of this in England due to GSM and CDSM problems. Basically, is there any way we could talk for cheap/free?
How about Skype or another VOIP method? Or even set up MSN web-cam chats (you can do them as voice only too, if you don’t want to see each other, iykwim?).
Phoning internationally on a mobile phone from the UK is very very very expensive.
