Ringtones for Phones

I’m not a US citizen, in 2005 I was in US on a work and travel program in Vermont where I made a contract with a cell phone company.Things went this way:I went to the company’s office,paid all the bills, took my phone and went home, I used it for allmost a month but before the billing date I had to return to my homecountry so I left the phone to a friend of mine to use it and pay for it(kind of stupid thing I realised now).So recently I talked to another friend from there, who told me that my phone bill had never been paid and those from the company called them home but they said, they didn’t know about me(I think they’ve done a bad thing to me ).Now I don’t want to have any debts in US and would like to somehow repair everything. Please advise me how to do to pay my debts, I would really like to have a clean history. Thank You very much!
