Ringtones for Phones

I have a samsung phone it’s model type is SCH-r400 and what I am having problems with is that I can’t download pictures from the web straight to the phone. Nor can I do this with ringtones, I am signed with metroPCS but I’ve seen friends who have the same service do this with no problems but they use different phones but I’m wondering if there is a shortcut I am not seeing or is there some way I can do this. And I’m not new to technology I just don’t see anything on the bottom menu telling me I can download the pictures so if anyone who has this type of phone as well I’d appreciate if you could give some advice as well..
