Is it possible to get a new cell phone before my current contract ends?

I have T-Mobile and my contract ends just this August. My current cell phone broke and I do not have insurance. I don’t want to cancel my contract because then its gonna fee me $200 and its not worth it. Do you think that I can get a new phone for the rest of this contract and a new 2-year contract? Will it still give me the same discounts?

I’m not sure how T-Mobile does it but with AT&T and Verizon, You can usually upgrade 21 months (1 year, 9 months) into your contract if you sign another 2 year agreement. Sometimes, AT&T will do an upgrade earlier than that. This usually only occurs because of a situation with the phone you currently have and you’re pretty close to an upgrade anyway.

You can try to call Customer Service at *611 from your handset if it still works or 1-800-922-0204 from a land line to speak to a rep.
