Cell Phone Salesmen Help! New Technology?
I currently have T-Mobile, and I don’t get signals in a lot of places, so we were looking to change carriers. T Mobile informed us that there is new technology coming within the month that will enable your phone to direct to your home phone if your not getting a signal, but you will get a signal because of the Wifi. They said don’t bother getting a new phone now, because your’s will not be compatible with the technology, and I think their right, because the other companies, (ATT, Verizon) did not want to give info, because they wanted us to buy new phones, and then have to do it again, once the technology is in place. Can someone tell me what’ going on with this?
I dropped T-mobile over 2 years ago for that reason. I switched to Verizon right after leaving T-Mobile and have been happy with the reception I get with Verizon. With Verizon I even get good reception at work (hospital), with T-Mobile I next to nothing for reception at work. Don’t know antything about new technology coming out. But if you switch carriers you wil have to get a new phone but should be able to keep the same number.
