Are there any cheap cell phone plans for 1 year contacts?
I would only use my cell phone for one year so I can’t do a 2 year plan. Does Altel do a 1 year plan?

Your best bet is T-Mobile or ATT, both companys offer post paid plans without signing a contract if you bring in your own phone
Purchase a cheap unlocked GSM phone, then go to the ATT or T-Mobile and pick the plan that suits you best. You will have all the benifits as someone that signs a 2 year contract
T-Mobiles is called flex pay, ATT is the sim only option
