If I purchase this phone, can I buy cards for it ever month ranging from $15-25.
HERE’S THE PROBLEM – ARE YOU BUYING THE PHONE FOR CONVENIENT COMMUNICATION OR FOR COOL FEATURES?
On a Pay As You Go plan, most of the cool features aren’t gonna work properly for you – the data plans suck since you can’t roam, you can click on any links that cost anything – they really dumb the phones down to avoid letting you run up a bill that they suspect you can’t pay – and they can only code those prepaid minutes so many different ways before they are breaking the tariff that allowed them to sell the damn things in the first place.
If you just need a reliable cell phone for communication, and you want a no BS, reliable phone that isn’t gonna cost you 40 to 50 cents a minute every time you make or receive a call, then get one from Net 10. It’s 10 cents a minute, 24/7, 6 second rounding (instead of 60 second rounding like the big carriers), ROAMING IS FREE, LONG DISTANCE is FREE – in short, it is the best prepaid phone you’ll ever own.
The people who get reamed out the hardest are the ones with bad credit, who cannot afford a large $500 deposit for cell service – we get the worst deals, the highest per-minute rates, the least features included – they essentially treat you like human garbage – even when you CALL them for help it’s like you’re a criminal or something. Except at Net 10, where all they do is prepaid, all day long, and there are no hooks, no tricks, just nice people making prepaid affordable for regular people who need a mobile phone. Nice ones, too – Nokias, Motorolas, and the like.
Peace! dg
If you want a phone for all the cool features, do yourself a favor – buy an Ipod instead. Everything will work and it won’t bankrupt you in the process.
