Water damage to cell phone screen and battery?
I have a a Rumor by LG from Sprint. I dropped it in the toilet a couple of days ago. I put it in a bowl of rice for 48 hours, letting it dry. I tried turning the phone back on which didn’t work, so I tried like some others suggested and put it in the charger, I think this means that the battery is done. When it is on though the screen is messed up, I am talking the middle looks like there is still water in it and is lighter than the rest of the screen. I was just wondering if this is permanit damage and could my battery be replaced? In other words can my phone be saved?
The water affects the battery, not the phone. I know with verizon that you can buy a new battery for about 50 dollars which is cheaper than buying a while new phone. The screen will stay damaged like that though, because the water got stuck in the screen. You’ll still be able to use the phone fine after buying a new battery, you just won’t be able to see the screen as well! good luck!
