What are some things you should consider when choosing a cell phone shop? You will want to figure out what provider you would like to use for your cellular service. Then there is the issue of which style to choose. In addition, you will need to figure out which type of plan is right for you.
You can find a cell phone shop online or locally. There are many different cellular services available and the one you choose will probably depend on the area you live in. Word of mouth is great to rely on when it comes to choosing your provider. Do you have friends that get horrible signals, drop calls all the time, and often see errors on their billing statement? Ask who their provider is and run in the other direction! Then, call you friend who never misses a call, gets her texts right away and has barely ever complained about service areas. It is possible that hers will be the provider of choice in your area.
Now that you have picked your provider, you will want to choose your style of handset. No matter which cell phone shop you decide to go with, you will be able to select from an array of phones. Even the most basic of phones comes with nice features. Most will offer an area to save contact information, a call log, a message center, multiple display and ring tone options, different sound volumes and a calendar. Many phones also feature a camera with storage for your images, voice dialing and a variety of games to keep you occupied. The higher end phones come standard with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi as well as GPS support, a higher mega pixel camera for better picture quality, a lithium ion battery so it is able to go longer without a charge and streaming video technology.
A cell phone shop can now help you select the service plan that will best benefit your lifestyle. The way you intend to use your telephone helps determine the plan features that you need. One type of plan is called pay as you go. You pay for service credits ahead of time. These credits are then used up when you place a call or text a message. Often these credits must be used within a certain number of days or they will expire. Additional credits can be purchased when you run out. Another type of service is known as contract service. With this type, you typically sign a contract with a provider stating that you will continue to use their services for a set amount of time, usually one to two years. If you break this contract, you will have to pay a fee. The benefit of most contract services are that you end up paying less per minute for your cellular usage than you would with pay as you go.
A cell phone shop will be happy to help you in choosing your plans, products and accessories. A customer service representative at the store will be able to answer any questions you may have.
What’s the best cell phone plan that includes 2 phones?
My boyfriend and I probably use 400 mins/month on our cricket phone and we’re looking for a 2-phone plan under $45/month with caller ID. The new service needs to be able to use our old number and preferably have unlimited calling to a limited # of people (fave 5 or similar). Is there anything like this out there?
My husband and I have tmobile and we can text/call each other unlimitedly. We transfered the numbers we had from previous companies. I don’t know what other plans they have but we just got the cheapest one since we don’t use our phones that much anyway. I have heard a lot of horror stories from cingulair/at&t wireless where phones were stolen and the owner was forced to pay the excess charges (the guy who stole the phone made multiple calls to mexico). Look at the different websites… most of them have their payment plans available to view online.
