Blackberry / pda question, unlocked wifi?
If the wifi on a pda is unlocked does that mean that it will connect to any free wireless provider, without having to pay for a cell phone plan?
Not to make calls but to just surf the internet. Do you think I need a contract to just surf the internet?

Let me see if I understand your question. You want to use a cell phone that has WiFi capability, but is not currently set up with cell phone service to make phone calls via a WiFi connection?
If so, I do not really think that is possible. You can purchase a WiFi device that does VOIP phone calls over a WiFi connection. You would still have to pay a fee to make the call through a VOIP internet service. The link below is an example of such a device.
