Sold a classic car and got ripped off–any steps I can take?
2 weeks ago I sold a classic vehicle, got a signature of buyer on how much is remaining to be paid because I was too trusting and agreed to payments. Of course buyer never returned. Disconnected cell phone contact and I have no physical address. Just a name, signature and receipt w/ how much was paid and how much is owed. What can be done besides using this as a lesson learned?
If you know his general location search his name(hope you have his real name) on line. May cost you $40. It’s not so much the money,now it’s personal. Get a couple buddies and go car hunting. It may take a few trips but sooner or later he will leave it out in open sight. Take it.
