wireless cell phone coverage
wireless cell phone coverage

Today the Internet has become the most reliable problem solver in our lives. Despite of its contribution in creating half these problems, Internet is still accessed by millions of people for a variety of reasons including to find someone’s name from a cell phone number. The commonest grounds for this could be listed as:
- To find out who their girlfriend/boyfriend has been calling
- To bust that annoying nuisance caller
So why not refer the White/Yellow pages?
Mobile numbers are considered personnel details of a person and therefore not available for the public to access. Even though Land phone numbers are readily available, unfortunately Cell numbers are not listed in phone books. There are even privacy laws enacted to protect wireless phone subscriber privacy rights!
How do you select the best service? There are several Online databases available out there but not all of them are equally reliable or accurate. It is up to you to pick the best available service and here are 2 things you should consider when doing so.
- How much information does it carry? Some of these services will only consist of less than 50% of the wireless numbers in the USA causing your searches to end up with no results. Therefore you have to make sure that the database you selected has at least 215 million numbers which is roughly 90% of the wireless numbers used in the United States.
- Is it regularly updated? People tend to change their Cellular phone numbers all the time. With so many phone providers competing in the market, people switch from one package to another in search of better deals, better signal coverage etc. Since most cellular companies re-register these discarded numbers with new users you should always opt for an Online cellphone database which constantly updates itself. The best ones out there update as frequently as 4 times every hour
Recommendations for a cell phone repeater/signal booster?
I’ve recently started living in an area that gets lackluster cell phone coverage (thanks to the township’s reluctance to put up enough towers). Everyone in the house has Verizon wireless service.
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced ($300ish or less?) repeater or signal booster? And not one of those bits you slip into the body of the phone, a real unit. It doesn’t need to cover a ton of space, we just want one or two rooms where we can receive a phone call reliably.
Any and all advice is appreciated. With our luck, they’ll just build another tower by the time we figure out what to do.
These aren’t guaranteed and you will want to read the details but here are a few signal boosters you might want to look at.
